Petra Nightwatch
This design honors Jordan’s heritage and my friend Jordan’s roots. The falcon—recognized across the region as a symbol of strength and resolve—stands as a sentinel over Al-Khazneh (the Petra Treasury), an enduring emblem of Jordanian history. The seven-pointed star references the star on Jordan’s national flag; the slim crescent adds a quiet night-sky motif often seen across the region. The falcon’s eye glows in the flag’s palette, while the restrained black-and-white rendering keeps the piece bold, timeless, and masculine. The “962” country code grounds the artwork in place and identity—an expression of respect for Jordan and pride in the name.
